Home Modification Request Process

Home Modification and Architectural requests and approvals are required before making any exterior modifications to your home.

Steps you will need to complete:

1) Before submitting a request, please review the Governing Documents page and HOA Requirements for Modifications sheet to ensure you are current on any work you want to do to your home.

2) Review and complete the HOA Modification Request form (two pages in total).

3) Before submitting your approval request, you are required to visit the City of Margate website here to check if a permit is needed from the city before the start of your work. If a city permit is necessary, HOA approval must be obtained and stated on your city permit application before any work can proceed.

4) Click the “Submit Approval Request” link below and attach your completed application to the email. Please also include any relevant images or documentation in the email request.

The following are examples that require HOA approval before work begins (items not limited to this list - please see governing documents for more information)

• Exterior home painting

• Roof replacement

• Replacement windows/doors

• Fence construction/replacement

• Solar panel installation

• Pool installation

• Driveway upgrades

After review, the HOA will provide a response to the address provided.
